Dr. Jonathan Haerter grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, home of the Mayo Clinic. After earning an undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolfus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, Dr. Haerter spent a year as a fly fishing guide. Dr. Haerter graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2000 and opened his first dental practice in the Vail Valley in 2000.
Since beginning Vail Dentistry, Dr. Haerter has completed hundreds of hours of advanced continuing education, with an emphasis on dental cosmetics, head, neck and facial pain treatment, and full mouth reconstructive dentistry. Vail Valley area and Edwards, CO cosmetic dentist, Dr. Haerter is a graduate of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He is one of the few elite dentists in the world to complete the full mouth reconstruction course.

Dr. Haerter practices at the forefront of the ever-evolving field of dentistry and is continually providing the most advanced services such as CEREC, Invisalign, veneers and TMD / full mouth dentistry. Dr. Haerter was certified to offer Invisalign orthodontics in 2004 and has maintained a Preferred Provider Status in Colorado since 2004. Dr. Haerter and the team at Vail Dentistry proudly implement the latest comforts & technology. In 2003, Dr. Haerter was one of the first dentists in Colorado to implement the CEREC CAD CAM 3D technology into his daily practice.
Dr. Haerter is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Colorado Dental Association.
Outside of serving as one of the top cosmetic dentists in Edwards, CO and the Vail Valley area, Dr. Haerter maintains a well-balanced lifestyle that includes hobbies such as: fly fishing, mountain biking, golf, flying, snow skiing, and water skiing. Dr. Haerter also believes in being an active member of the community and is involved in the Vail Valley Foundation, The Youth Foundation, and is a board member at The Walking Mountains Natural Science School.
